The kosher tantz (dance) is reserved for the newlyweds and their closest relatives. the bride and groom now take turns dancing with both their male and female relatives.

Here, the bride’s and groom’s mothers wait arm in arm for their turn to dance. Among the orthodox, since men and women do not hold hands, they hold opposite corners of a handkerchief between them. Both women hold heir handkerchiefs ready.
